Time to start a post on good places in Bamako to have a drink. First a bit of Bambara:Dolo means beer and so means house. Thus a bar is doloso. We found up to know two main areas to get a Castel or a Flag (the 2 Malian beers), located one on each side of the river.The well know Blabla street in the Hippodrome district has a dozen of places ranging from restaurants to bar to night club. Day off today for a visit to the "Musée National du Mali". For once we were able to see some very nice statues. Sorry no pics were allowed but the website gives an idea of the ancient art : MNM.Outside the main building we saw a model of Djenné's mosque.

There is several ways to escape the MRTC (Malaria Research and Training Center) where we are working to go downtown:1-the cheapest way is to climb in a old 504-break-peugeot car that can take up to 10 people.
